welcome to my website. My name's Jochen Höhmann, and i'm a Web Developer from Germany.
I'm currently working for several german companies, but you can contact me about freelancer jobs at .
I'm specialised in HTML and CSS, JavaScript, PHP and SQL-Databases, and got a habit to stick my nose in other languages from time to time, but not enough to say i'm "really good" at any of them.
My projects usually require non-default solutions, so i spend a lot of time developing systems to match these requirements.
I believe you can only learn new stuff for good if you develop it by yourself, rather then copying and maybe adjusting the work of others. Don't get me wrong tho, i give a lot about other people's work, especially open-source projects; but if i have the time i just like to get inspired by the ideas and tend to rewrite things ony own, so i can fully understand it, and know how to customise it if required.
This has led to the point where i started developing my own CMS for websites several years ago, which didn't have a name for a long time, but when some customers started calling it "Khuris" after my nickname it stuck.
It's still kinda in development but i use it for many of my projects as a base to build on, so it slowly grows and gets better over time.
Sadly, this website of my own is not really developed yet. There is a german saying:
Der Schuster hat die schlechtesten Schuhe.
Roughly translated it says "a shoemaker has the worst shoes". I'm just too busy working on other projects currently to fill this page with life (and an actual design...), but i'm in contact with a designer to get a nice page going soon, so please check back in a month!
